The council met in regular session at ,.30 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor Wiley"
Counoilmen Applewhite, Blake, Carson, Crandall, DelswAn, Koozer. Absent: None
The minutes of the pre'~ous meeting were read and approved as read. ~,
Monthly reports of the Electric, Water and Street Departments, the Recorder and
t:b.e Sexton for the month of January were read, accetted and ordered placed on file.
The following application for a buildirg permit was presented:
No.3. To erect new dwelling on Motmtain Avenue between lown Street and Siskiyou
Boule'VB..rd at an approximate cost of $1200000 by M. M. Tucker. On motion made and duly
seconded, the permit was granted. Carrie~.
A petition asking for the vacation of a ten foot strip on either side of Sheridan
Street was read and discussed, but the sense of the discussion was to let the property
owners conoerned use it indefinitely but without vacating same. The street was practi-
oally obsolete.
Committee Reports:
Electrio: Biegel asked for the purchase of aspha.lt for stock at about $300.00 and
upon motion by Koozer, seconded by Applewhite and following a unanimous roll call, the
purchase was authorized.
Realtyt Carson reported that the bid for remodelling the hospital had been given
E. O. Smith, carpenter.
Carson reported-on the garbage question and a long discussion followed.
It was moved by Koozer tr~t we recommend incorporation of the present schedule of spec-
ifications which had been drawn up, using the existing rate schedule, subject to ohange~
as may be deemed advisable and additional requirements as may ~e necessary and same be
published. Seoonded by Applewhite. Carriedo
The City Attorney reported on his letter to the forest supervisor concernmng the
forest road.
