The oounoil met in regular aession at '1,30 P. M. this date: Present: Mayor Wiley,
Counoilman Applewhite. Carson. Crandall. Delsman. Koozer. Tayler. Absent: None.
Mon-thly reportl of the Ci ty Judge tor May was read, accepted and ordered plaoed
on file.
Bills amounting to $10,,829.11 were read as to total amount only, same having been
oked by the various departments. oommittees and finanoe commitee and upon motion by
Kooker, seoonded by Crandall and following a unanimous roll call were ordered paid.
Upon motion by Tayler, seoonded by Delsman. the Recorder was instructed to bill
the County for the expenses paid by the City in oonneotion the Ray Spenoer arson oase.
Carried.
Homer Moore representing the Bellview Co-operative Water AssSn spoke in regard
to a reduction in wa;.r rates for the assoc~ation and considerable disoussion followed.
It was moved by Applewhite and seoonded by arson that -the matter be referred 1;0 the
.-ater Committee. Water Sup.t, Ci 1:iy AttOrney and Ci iiy Superintendent for investigation
and report back. Carried.
Ray S. Hook appeared be~ore the counoil requesting a license to open a drink-mixer
establishment and explained how he operated. Upon mo'tion by Applewhite seoonded by
Dels:aan, the Mayor was requested to appoint a speoial oommi ttee to investigate the
~tter. Carried. The Mayor thereupon appointed the following oommittee, Carson, Koozsr"
~ayler and the Chiet of Police.

It was moved, seoonded and unanimously oarried that the perm! ts be granted.
The resigna1iion of L. I. Moon from the Ashland polioe department was read and. upon
motion by Carson, secondedh:~TaYl.r, the resignation was acoepted and the appointment

tailing to show a substantial majority in ta.:vor of iii, it was moved by Koozer that the
petitioners be notified that due to the small majority, the ~ving be delayed until a
larger majority were found to be in favor of it. Seoonded by Cars_. Carriedo
