otia.tions he had had with a sawmill operator who l'f'8.nted to esrablish e. saw mill in
Ashland and was inte.res-red in securing a site ftor his, plant. The matter was discussed
thoroughl~r and upon motion b~r Car son. seoonded. by Crandall the matter was referred to
the Realty Commit,tee and City Attorney for investigation. Carried.

been taken on. the "Peddler' f: License Ordinance" and Koozer who had bea.11 chairman of
the con~ittes agreed to call a meeting of the corrillittee to study the ordinance.

The Oberlin Street light, near the Fleener home~ was discussed and referred to
the Street Cornrrdttee and Police Depe.rt..m.ent for report.
Realtya With reference to the restricted residential district petition read at a
previous session. it was moved by Woodell that an ordinance similar to Residential
District #1 and #2 ordinrolce be drafted b; the City Attorney for presentation to the
council. Seconded by Applewhite. Carried.
The following applications for building perrrdts were presented:
No.9: To erect dwell:i.ng on Fourth Street at an approximate cost of $1500.00 by
W. F. Hollingsworth.
No. 10, To rebuild house and erec't new g~.rage at 4th and "B" Streets at an approx-
imate cost of $2~50.00 by W. R. Winkler.
No. II, To erect new dwelling at 6th and "B" Streets at an approximate cost of
$1290.00 by S. S. De,vies.
No. 12: To reruodel dwelling e.t 157 Van Ness Avenue at an approximate cost of
$150.00 By Earl D. Nutter.

The City Recorder ~~s instructed to write let~ers of invitation to nearby ci~
officials to attend the pre-tournament openhouse to be held at the Southern Oregon
College ot Educaticn on March 4th.
The meeting of t he council 'WalJ set for Wednesday, March 5th instead of t he regular
meeting night.
Upon motion b;{ Crancell, seconded by Carson, the City Attorney waS ir..structed to
prepare a resolution expressing best Wishei of'the Common Council for e. speedy recovery
'to Mayor T. S. Wiley. Carried
On motion, the Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor,
