The minutes of "the previous meeting were read and apprroved as read.
Monthly reports of' the City Judge and Librarian were read. acoepted and ordered
plaoed on rile.
Bills amounting to '9,,657.35 were read as to total amount only. same having been
oked by 'the various departments. committees and finanoe oommittee and were ordered paid.
The following applioations for building perm! t8 were presented.

Insuranoe on all oity cars and truoks being d.ue tor renewal on August 17th. bids
were read trom J. A. Langtry and I. C. Erwin agenoies. As theIe". some question 8S
to whether both policies oovered the same type of insuranoe. the matter of aooepting
'the bid was referred to the Finanoe Commi"ttee. City Sup't and City A"ttorney for aotion.
The City AttornEr.f read a proposed resolution conoerning the oollection of the
utility revenues and aovounting for same. It was moved by Koozer that .500000 be the
amol.mt set up as a revel ring fund. same to be transfered f'rollLfcthe Eleotrio Fund.

the resolution was passed to the seoond reading by "title only" the rules being suspended.
Following the se eond reading" i"t was moved by Kooaer and seoonded by Applewhi te that
the resolution be adopted as read and tollowing a unanim.ous roll call. the Mayor deolared
the resolution adopted.
Upon motion.by Koozer. seconded by JJaugherty. ths surety bonds of the City Sup''t
and two assistants were set at $2500.00. Carried.
The City Attorney made a brief report on the Gas Ice Projeot and the Talent Irri-
gation Distriot's intention of using same as a 8i te for a dam.
On motion. the C01.m.oil adjourned to meet .t the call of th(~ Mayort
