The Council met in regular .ession at 7:30 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor
Wiley. COUD.cilmen Applewhite, Daugherty, Putman. Redofrd, Selby. and Koozer.
Ab...t. None. The Mayor appointed E. C. Biegel to act as recorder in the absence
of the Recorder.
The minute. of the previous meeti.g were read and approved as read.
The monthly reports ot the Eleotrie, Street, Water, and the Recorder were
read, accepted and plaoed OD. file. The hospital report was just plaoed on file.
Billa amc:nmti>>.g t. t1oo0.oo. the same being fre. the Talent Irrigatien
District, were read and ordered paid.
The following application. for buildi.g perm! ts were presented:
No. 62: To erect garage and machine _hop on Helman Street at an approximate
cost of $800.00 by Earl Newbry.
No. 63: To remodel store building at 349 East Main Street at an approximate
cost of $3000.00 by Dom ProTost.
No. 64: To remodel dwelling at 31 Second Street at an approximate cest ot
$400.00 by E. X. Kendall.
It was mOTed by Daugherty and seconded by Koezer that the permits be granted.
Carried.
The fellewing requests for endorsements on applicatioI1 for licenses to the
Oregon Liquor Control Commission were presented:
Safeway Store and Bohemi8.l'1 Club. It was meTed by Daugherty, seconded by
Selby, and carried that the requests be granted.
A request was presented by the Southern Oregon Miner for Christmas advertising.
It was moved by Koozer and seconded by Redford, and carried unanimously that the
advertising be done under the name of the City Light Department.
The ....wer en Nutley Street was ordered installed after either advertising or
negotiation. It was mOTed by Daugherty and seconded by Selb~ that the City Super-
inteDdent be instructed to install the sewer. Carried unanim9usly.
Repairs to the Jordan building on East Main Street was re fe rred to the Fire
committee and the Fire Chief for investigation.
Committee Reports:
Water: The water committee reported on the Bellview water recommending that
the two shares of city .stock in the Bellview Water District be tre.nsferred to the
Reynold. tract and the James tract on the airport site. After considerable di.-
cussi.a the question of the stock was referred back t. the committee for further
study.. and also to try to get the Bellview District t. iaaue an additional share
of stock to be pll.ced on the dump groUlld preperty.
Realty: The oommi ttee reported that approxiJu.tely 16 acres could be sold
from the present golf course without jeopardizing the value of the course in the
least. Arter considerable discussion it was referred to Redford, Daugherty and
the Golf Club for further study.
Dry-Ice: It was reported that the building at the Dry 'Ice plant was prac-
tically completed and that machinery was being installed at the plant at the
present time.
Koozer and Appl~ite expressed their appreciation to the Council for the
privilege of having served with them and for the cooperation they had receiTed.
They wished t.. Council continued success.
On motion, the Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor:

MAYOR
