The minutes of the previous meeting were read aDd approved as read.
A delegation ot people residing near the Van Prooyen.Dairy on North Main Street
, was present and the Mayor called upon aome of them. to tell the Council the purpose of
their visit. Mrs. A. H. Thompson~ 612 North Main. Mrs. E. Hioks. 623 Borth Main and
Mro .... S. Stephens. 595 North Jlain Street responded. protesting against the dairy
whioh they claimed was very Wlsani tary and caused a s'tench which was almost unbearableo

Eleotric s Biegel reported -that it would be neoeuaarl to run a power line tor the
Jansen Lumber Comp,ny 'to the Coggins Mill property a't a cost of about 11.800.00 and
asked authority to nake -the necessary purchase8 ot ma'terial. It was moved by Merrill
and seconded by Redford that 'hhe Ci -ty Superintendent contract 'to purchase the required
material and install the line. Carried.
The following applications tor building perm! ts were presented.
No. 10: To remodel dwelling at 448 Helman street at an approximate cost of .200.00
by Charles G. Broili.
No. lIt To remodel ~welling at 496 Beach Street at an approximate GOB't of 1200.00
by F. S. Williams.
