The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. this date. Present: Acting Mayor
Weitzel, Counoilmen Daugherty. Fisehborn. Merrill" NosIer. Redford. Absent: Mayor
Wiley.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and apprFed as read.
Bills a.mounting to ~15,897 .14 were read as to total amount only, same having been
oked by the various departments, commi:ttees and finanoe committee and were ordered paid.
Applications to the state Liquor Control Commission were approved tor Guy Lewis
'and tlB Plaza Cafe.
Monthly reports ,of the Library and City Judge were read. accepted and ordered
placed on fileo .
Building Permits nurabered from 1 to 2 ine were approved upon motion by Redford,
seconded by NosIer and carried. Total of permits, $10,500000.
City Liability insuranoe was disc'usaed and the City Suoerintendent asked to
seoure bids on the $10,000 ~nd #20,000 and the $10,000 and $100,000 ooverages. upon
motion by Redford. seconded by Fischborn and oarried.
Recommendation of the State H1&hway Commission regarding the school oreasings
were 'disoussed. The State to pay one-half of the expense. Stop lights plaoed at
1st, leoond and Pioneer Avenue at East Main Street were considered.
It was moved by Redford and .econded by Kerrill that the recommendation of the
state Highway Commission be aooeptedo Carried.
A group present at the meeting approved the idea as discussed and Earl Sohilling
and others spoke in favor .r it.
On motion. the Counoil adjourned to meet at the oall of' the Mayor:
