HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-0705 ADJOURNED MIN , '7 OI1"~, 1 July 5th, 1935 A~ of the Common Council of the City of AShland, Oregon was called to order by Mayor Wiley at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7:45 P.M. on July 5, 1935. Those present were: Mayor Wiley, and Councilmen Applewhite, Blake, Hansen, Ingle and Wenner. Councilman Gregg was absent. The recorder and all other salaried employees of the city were not present because the salary ordinance was the main order of business. G.R. Wenner was appointed Recorder pro tern. The matter of the salaries to be paid for the respective offices in the city was duly discussed. The amounts it was deter- mined should be paid the respective holders of the several offices of the city were inserted in the proposed salary ordinance and the ordinance was read. It was moved that the rules be suspended and that the ordinanoe be passed to Motion was unanimously carried. a second time by title only. A whioh resulted as follows: Ayes 5 Nays O. The ordinanoe~was then placed in the hands of the Mayor for his signature. \ The matter of the salaries of the other city employees aside ~ L from those listed in the ordinance was discussed and it was moved, ~ \ seoonded and unanimously oarried that the salaries of the other city ~ employees aside from those listed in the ordinanoe should remain the same as heretofor for the next six month's period with the following exceptions: Electric Department, Utility man (Danford) $125.00; Office man, (Bartelt) $115.00.
