The oounoil met in adJourned session at 5:00 p, M, this date.
Present: Kayor Wiley, Counoilmen Applewhi te, Blake, Gregg, Hans en,
Ingle,Wenner. Absent: None.
Mr. V~iting addressed the Counoil oonoerning transfer of funds
and authority to go to Portland to look over aooounting and billing
machines. Moved by Wenner that the trahsfer of funds be authorized.
also $5000.00 from the Electrio Fund to the General Fund as a loan be
authorized. Seconded by Gregg. Roll call was prdered, the vote being
Ayes 6, Nays O. Carried.
Authority for exchanging ledger trays and equipment for books and
indexes from the Charles R. Hzadley Co. was also given upon the reoom-
mendation of Mr. Whiting. Motion being made by Wenner, seoonded by
Hansen. Carried.
Moved by Wenner that W~. Whiting be authorized to investigate
and examine accounting machines for the city and the oity to pay his
travel expenses for this work. Seoonded by Ingle. Carried.
Mr. Laing, Aro~eot. showed plans and read specifioations for the
proposed new heating plant at the H.spital . Following smme disoussion
it was moved by Wenner that the plans and specifioations be referred
to the City Attorney and City Sup It and the bids adve1Jtized for. same
to be opehed at 8:00 P. M. on Sept. 26th. Seconded by Gregg. Carried.
The subJect of the Sewage Disposal Plant was brought up for oon-
sideration and it was moved by Wenner that the City Attorney work out
a self-liquidation plan for the bond issue and make a trip to Portland
if neoessary. Seconded by Applewhite. Carried.
The City Attorney stated that Mr. Kelts had offered to oompromise
his sewer assessments on Alta Avenue. Moved by Ingle that the Water
Committee be authorized to accept a settlement with Mr. Kelts. Seoonded
by Applewhi te. Car ried.
On motion, the council adJourned to meet at the oall of the Mayor.
