The oouncil met in adjourned session at 7:30 P. M. -this date. Present: Mayor
Wiley, Councilmen Applewhite, Crandall.. Hansen, Ingle. Absent: Counoilmen Bla.ke, Koozer
The Mayor announoed the first order of business would be the opening of bids on
the car load of pipe and fittings.
Bids were opened from the following firms: American Cast Iron Pipe Company, Paoifio
States Cast Iron Pipe Company, Consolidated Supply CorrcpAPl', end tile Lorenz Company. The
bid of the Paoifio States Cast Iron Pipe Company ot $3700.94 being the lowest. it was
moved by Ingle and seconded by Hansen that the bid of that oompany be aooepted. Roll
oall was ordered on the motion, the vote being. Ayes l Ingle, Crandall. Hansen.. Apple -
whi te. Nays: None. Thereupon -the Mayor announoed the bid of the Paoific Stat as Cast
Iron Pipe Company of $3700.94 wasmaocepted.
The budget for 1938 was the next matter tor discussion. The entire budget was
gone over and tentatively approved generally with some exceptions. Salaries were dis-
cussed, but no definite action taken.. it being deoided ti refer the matter to the
final budget meeting when the council would meet with the Ci tizen t s Budget Committee
on Tuesday, Ootober 5th.
On motion, the oounoil adjourned to meet at the call of t he Mayor.
