HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954 Planning MIN REPORT TO THE COMMON COUNCIL by ASHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION At the Planning Commission meeting on July 12, 195~, by a vote of 3 to 1 the fOllowing motion was passed: ttThat the Pla!1...ning Commission does oppose future expansion of the City limits until the local property within the City is more effectively utilized and the water supply and the sewage facilities are expanded to more adequately service those within the City and any proposed property to be annexed.tl It is the desire of the Planning Commission that the Common Council either approve or disapprove such policy in order that the Planning Commission may know the policy of the Common Council when considering any annexations. There was referred to the Planning Commission by the Council a recommendation as to the advisability of ordering paving and guttering of presently uncompleted portions of the following streets: Peachy Road, Iowa Street, ItCtt Street, Sixth Street, Bridge Street and Lee Street. After considerable discussion, it was unanimously passed that the Commission recommend the paving and guttering of any unimproved portions of said streets except that no work be ordered upon Peachy Road and Lee Street. There being no further business, the meeting was adjou~ned.
