The Counoil met in adjourned session at 5.00 P. M. this date. Present. Mayor Wiley,
Counoilmen Applavmite, Carson, Crandall, Delsman, Koozer. Absent: Cb:unoilme.n Tayler.
Bills amounting tomapproximately $4,000.00 w re read as to total amount only; same
having been oked by the various departments, oO~littees and ~inance oommittee and upon
motion duly made and seoonded were ordered 'paid.
Applioations for endorgemmt to the Liquor C~troll Commission were approved as
follows. Bastiaan Blank, afeway Stores.
Upon motlbon by Koozer, - seoonded by Appl6whi te, the balance of the Sinking Fund in-
vestments, $40,000 was transfered to the Eleotrio Fund to partially ~#,;'f/J##N/I.K#UHtNIlffl.K/I.
liquidate an obligation. Upon motion by Koozer, $40,000 in Eleotrio Fund investments was
authorized to be cancelled. Seconded by Crandall. Carried.
~ Upo~~tion by Crandall, the purohase of $7500 in U. S. Savings Bonds by the'
Electric 'ini's i}'ear andthe retirement of $7500 in other Ashland bonds was approved. Second
ed by Carson. arried. The purohase of a like amount of U. S. Savings Bonds for 1940 and
retirement of the same amount of Ashland Bonds was also approved by the same motion.
Bids on gasoline for the year 1940 were authorized upon motion by Crandall and
seconded by Carson and carried. '
On motion, the Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
