The COlmcil met in adjourned session at 7.30 P. M. this date. Present: Mayor Wiley,
Councilmen Applewhite, Daugherty, Keozer, Pu'btan, Selby. Absent: Councilman Redi'ord.
The purpose of the meeting .... "to listen t~L2!?j!l2.:!:icns to the proposed new budget.
There being no Otlfl present "to object, the City ~ read the propsed ordinance
levying a tax for the pericd July 1. 1944 "to Jlme 30, 1946. It was moved by Applewhmte
and seconded by Daugherty that the rules be suspended and the ordinance passed "to the
second reading by title only. Carried. Follcnrilng the second reading, it _s moved by
Koozer and seconded by Pu'b:l:an that the ordinance be adopted as read and following a
unanimcus roll call, the Mayor declared City Ordinance No. 104 adopted.
IIrs. Evans and Miss King were present and explained their trouble in getting the
hospital started and since they felt it _s no fault of their cmn, asked that their
rent payment of k60.oo for three months rent be reflmded to them. After their departure
discussion followed and resulted in a motion by Koozer, seconded by Daugherty that the
City Atterney take the necessary steps "to cancel the oontr.ll.ct and recover pesSBssicn
Yl'ithout any rebate on the contraot or otherwise. Carried. It _s moved by Daugherty
and seoonded by Koozer that the medicitlfl be stored and "to dispose of any or all expend-
ible medicine or supplies b, selling "to the best advantage. Carried.
On motion, the Council adjourned "to meet at the call of the Mayor:
