The Counoil met-in regular sosdon at 7:30 P.M. this date. Present. Mayor
Wiley. Councilmen Daugherty. Fisohborn. Merrill. Nosler. Redford. Weitzel. Absent.

The minutes of the previo,us meeting ,were read and approved as read.
Monthly bills amounting to $32.870.42 were road as to total amount only. same
having been oked by the various departments. oommittees and finance oommittee and
were ordered paid. " ,
Building permits numbered from 147 to 157 inclusive were approved upon mation,'
made. seconded and carried. Total of permits. $18.450.00.
The application of Allen Autry for a Class "A" beer lioense at his place at
65 North Main Street was approved upon motion by Nosler, seconded by Fischborn and
carried. " , ,.. ,
A petition asking that Fern Street be narrowed from its presemt width of 60
feet to 40 feet by deleting 10 feet from each side of the street and signed by 8
residents was read. It was moved by Fischborn and seoonded by Merrill that tho pet-
ition be granted and the City Attorney prepareiJ; the nellessary ordinance to vacate
the property petitioned for. Carried. - .,
Petitions requesting the ;Jnstallation of ourb and gutters on 7th Street between
"B" and "C" Streets and paving on 7th Street between "B" and "C" Streets and between
"C" and East Main Streets and paving on Rooa Street betlrsen Ashland' 'and 'Prospect'
streets were read and it was moved by Nosler that the work be authorized. Seoonded
and carried. " , " ,
A request that a short street near Ashland Street and adjaoent to the College'
be named "Melody Lane" was reBd and it was moved by Merrill and seconded by Fischborn
that the request be granted and tilat the Cit-of Attorney draw up the necessary ordinance.
