The City Attorney reported on the sale of timber, stating he had heard from Mr. 'QVanouoh and that the money for the timber sale, $32,844.72 would be reoeived Ei:Jout the first of the ~ear if aooepted. It was moved by Red60rd and seconded by Merrill that the offer be acoepted and following a unanimous roll rmll, 'the aooeptanoe was oonfirmed. '( The Mayor stated that he wished to deed a pieoe of property 30 'feet wide and 505.75 feet' long on his pribperty near the Arthur pro perty for road purposes. A oopy of a petition having been reoeived protesting against this road and containing 26 signers, 'the matter wal considered briefly, but it was moved by Fisohborn and seoonded by Merrill that sinoe most I of the signers on the petition were not affeoted by the road, 'that the petitlhlhn be not aocepted. Carried. It was 'then moved by RedfOrd and seconded by Daugherty that the City aooep~ the deed for this road. Carried.' , The UHy Attorllley reported on several plans fpr a oity bus line as follows: Leo Hunt to operate city bus for $45.00 per day. City to reoeive all fares. Hunt to pay all operating expenses. Servioe 365 days per year. City to own the buses. Clem White same terms and oonditions as above for $20.00 per day or $25.00 and the Cib~raotor furnish a bus. Re~uest of Evergreen Bus line to pick yp passengers within oity limits. Servioe every 12' hours. Al Schneider interested in a franohise. Looal tax's giving some servioe to sirlents at a lOt rate. Kate Neil asked that. the City deed I).er a small pieoe of property near her hotel, being a pieoe 36 feet 3 inohes by 8.7 and 16 feet wide. It was moved by Fisohborn and seoonded by Merrill, that the proper~ be deeded to Mrs. Heil. Carriedo A request by Horaoe C and Lillyan R. Leland for the release and quit olaim of an easement for right-of-way for irrigation ditoh by the City of Ashland having been made and sinoe this ditoh was no longer used;' it was moved by Daugherty and seoonded by Fisoh- born that the request be t:rahtedo Carriedo A proposed ordinanoe amending Seotio~of City Ordinanoe No. 1082 whereby the location I of the Molloleum was ohanged was read by the City Attorney. It VfFS moved by Daugherty and seoonded by Merrill that the rules be suspended and 'the ordinanoe passed to the second reading by title only. Carried. Following the seoond reading, it was moved by Fisohborn and seoonded by Merrill that the ordinanoe be adopted as read and followinl!! a UDanimous roll oall, the Mayor deolared City Brd:lnahoe No. / 0 q / adopted. ' The transfer of Deposits in 'the amount of $301.50 to delinquent acoounts was author- ized u IOn motion by Redflrd, seconded by Daugherty and 08' r ied 01 ' Upon motion by Merrill, seconded by Daugherty, the appointment of a speoial oolleotor for delinquent assessments was authorized.
