This Hemorandum is entered into benieen Local Union 659,
International Brotherhood of Electricc.l I'iorkers. and The City
of Ashland, Oregon, to establish conditions and wage rates for
all employees covered under "13" unit (unrepresented employees)
as agreed upon in a signed Mcmorandu~ of Agreement datec
June 16, 1981, between the parties.

The Agrcemcnt 1S as follows:
7~e Cicy agrees that for an interim period until negotiationL
of a Working Agreement between the parties is reached, all employee,
shall receive July I, 1981, a general, wage increase of S1X percent
(6%) above their present hourly wage rate. It,is further agreed
that further wage adjustments will be negotiated during the term
of this letter and that all existing conditions and benefits
will not be reduced without agreement by the Union.

It is further agreed that the Union maintains the right to
propose changes and/or additions to any agreement reached for

This letter shall become effective July 1, 1981, and shall
remain in effect until (1) either party notifies the other thirty
(30) days 1n advance they intend to terminate this Memorandum at
the end of a thirty (30) day period, or (2) a Working Agreement
has been agreed to by the parties. This Memorandum may be
modified or extended by mutual agreement between the parties.

NOTE: During anytime that the City pays the employees contribution
to PERS as required by ORS 237.071, six-percent (6%) will be
added to the wage rates shown in the above schedule for the
purpose of salary comparisons and computing inequity adjustments.
All rates are hourly rates. Monthly rates are for reference
purposes only.
