TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON
In a 1Ptfer dated February 18, which was in response to a
communication from the Ashland Chamber of Commerce dated February 17,
the City Council stated that "ConsH eration for construction of a building_
on the square in the Plaza will be given as soon as your recommendations
regarding type of structure are presented".
Our special committee learned the Shakespeare Festival Board would
make a gift to the city of the building which had previously served as
Angus BowmPr's office.
The Chamber of Commerce recommends the city council accept the
offer of this small Tudor style building, now in the theatre, and that it
be moved to the Plaza to serve as a Peneral information booth and/or
ticket office and that it be retained in the Plaza as a permanent structure.
