The very unusual conditions, as detailed in my letter dated August 21, 1996 (atlaChed), stated that the Willings would first provide the City a check for $25,000.00 whereas the City would in turn prepare a check for $25 ,<XX>. 00 as cmsideratioo. for the ~t In additioo to the $25,anoo the City is also required to ply the Willings $1,500.00 as reimbursement for work done 00 the adjustment of a manhole near their swimming {XXl1. The document has been revised to reflect a consideration of $25,000.00 for the purchase of the easement. It is understood that you will provide the City a check for $25,000.00 prior to paying that amount to you. It is further agreed that the City will pay you a sum of $1,500.00 for compensation and reimbursement for lowering one manhole and construction of a wall around it. Would you please review the easement document to be certain that your concerns are addressed? If you are satisfied with the easement please sign and return it along with your check in the amount of $25,000.00. A copy of the easement (following recording) will be returned to you along with a check for $26,500.00 If I can be of any assistance to you as a notary or in any other manner please feel free to call at 488-5347.
