ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14.08.010
AND 14.08.030(D) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
WITH RESPECT TO SEWER USER CHARGES.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1775, and Section 14.08.010

"14.0$.010 Payment Collection of Charges._ A. Respons-
e e arty. T The person or irm norma y making payment
for water service at a particular location is responsible
for the payment of the sewer user charge. B. Vacant Uses.
Sewer service charges shall continue to be levied against
the service recipient until a request for discontinuance
of water service is received for the particular location.
C. Billing and collection of sewer user charges shall be
as set forth in Chapter 14.02 of this Title, except that
the City may also enforce the collection of delinquent
sewer charges by withholding the delivery of water to any
premises, and may use such other means for collection as
provided by State laws or the City Charter, and any delin-
quencies may be certified to the Jackson County Department
of Assessment and Taxation for collection in the manner
set forth in Oregon Revised Statutes section 224.220."
SECTION 2. Subsection D of Section 14.08.030 of the Ashland Municipal
Co e s a be amended by amending the second sentence thereof, to read:
"Said consent shall also provide for payment to the City
at the time of annexation the Systems Development Annexation
charge set forth in Chapter 4.16 of the Ashland Municipal
Code."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the day ofz~z7L ,
1984, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this~day of~ 1984.
