ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.12 OF THE
ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO RULES FOR
ELECTRIC SERVICE.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1855 and the first two sentences of
Section 14.12.030(E) of the Ashland Municipal Code shall be
amended to read:
"E. Residential services above one hundred (100)
amperes shall have a two hundred (200) amp meter
base. Above two hundred twenty-five (225) amperes,
services shall have a four hundred (400) amp self-
contained meter base with bypasses. Above four
hundred (400) amperes, current transformers shall
be used". (etc.)
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1757 and Section 14.12.030(F) of
the Ashland Municipal Code shall be amended by adding thereto
the following sentence to read:
"The City shall require all new underground services
to have a pull box (enclosure) or transformer
cabinet (for current transformer installations).
Contact the Director of Electric Utilities for
dimensions, applications, and metering requirements.
A'four hundred (400) amp meter base will not
require a ring type meter base, but will require a
means for locking with a padlock, and shall be
equipped with bypasses."
