ORDINANCE NO. R4SW
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1878 RELATIVE TO
THE FRANCHISE TAX IMPOSED UPON THE CITY-OWNED ELECTRIC
UTILITY
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1878 is hereby amended by
deleting the following words:
"...shall pay to the City of Ashland on June 30 of each
year effective June 30, 1976, a franchise tax in the sum
of ten percent (10%) of the gross. electric revenues
received within the corporate limits of the City of
Ashland for the preceding twelve months..."
and by substituting the following words:
"...shall pay to the City of Ashland on the last days of
September, December, March and June, a franchise tax in
the sum of ten percent (10%) of the gross electric revenues
received within the corporate limits of the City of Ashland
for the,.pr.eceding three months...",.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1980.
The foregoing Ordinance was first read on the day of
19=.1 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this 1 day of
