ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND WITHDRAWING
CERTAIN RECENTLY ANNEXED REAL PROPERTY FROM
JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 5 (BENSON
ANNEXATION)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITE' OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
situate

in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, is
hereby withdrawn from Jackson County Fire District No. 5 pur-
suant to the provisions of ORS 222.524.
SECTION 2. The City of Ashland elects to pay the bonds of the
Sppe-ci.a-TT-axing Districts pursuant to the provisions of
ORS 222.520(2)(6).
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 7th day of October,
1986, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this,/ day of October, 1986.

A boundary description for the Claude Benson annexation:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Donation Land Claim No. 54,
Township 39 South, Range 1 East, Willamette Meridian, Jackson
County, Oregon; thence West, 846.18 feet, to the West line of
Donation Land Claim No. 52, said Township and Range, for the POINT
OF BEGINNING; thence continue West 86 feet, more or less, to the
Easterly right of way line of the Oregon and California Railroad
(Southern Pacific Railroad); thence Southerly along said Easterly
right of way line 436 feet, more or less, to the most northerly
corner of the tract described in Document No. 80-14739 of the
official Records in Jackson County, Oregon; thence South 25°09'
East along the northeasterly boundary of said described tract 845
feet, more or less, to the most easterly corner thereof; thence
South 39°06 East, 376.46 feet, to a point on the northwesterly line
of the tract described in Volume 516, Page 463 of the Deed Records
in Jackson County, Oregon; thence northeasterly along said
northwesterly line 90 feet, more or less, to the most southerly
corner of the tract described in Document No. 81-14791 of said
Official Records; thence North 39°06' West 273.0 feet to the most
westerly corner thereof; thence North 50°15' East 464.43 feet to
the most northerly corner thereof; thence South 35°30' East 273.8
feet to the most easterly corner thereof also being a point on the
northwesterly right of way of Crowson Road; thence North 50°15'
East (Record North 51°48' East) along the projected northwesterly
right of way line of said road to its intersection with the north-
easterly right of way line of Interstate 5; thence along said
right of way line of Interstate 5 to its intersection with a line
projected West from the northwest corner of Donation Land Claim
No. 54 said township and range; thence West along said west
projection to the point of beginning.
