THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH, That we, Abel D. Helman, and S. A. Helman,
husband arrI wife, of the city of Ashland, Jackson County, State of Oregon,
for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar to us paid, and the fur-
there consideration of the benefits to accrue to us and each of us by the
dedication of the hereafter described Streets and Alleys, have bargained and
sold and quit-claimed and by these presents do bargain, sell and quit-claim
unto the Cite of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, for the use of the public
for Street and alley purposes only the following described premises sit-
uate in the City of Ashland, County of Jackson and State of Oregon,
to-wit:
A strip of land Thirty (30) feet wide on each side of a line beginning at
the intersection of the center-lines of Oberlin and Helman Streets in the
City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, according to the official map

of said City; thence North 25 degrees 30 minutes East Fourteen Hundred
(1400) feet, more or less, to the South line of the Septic Tank Tract be-
longing to the City of Ashland, as described in Volume 49, page 384, Deed
Records of Jackson County, Oregon. Being an extension of Helman Street.
A strip of land 'T'hirty (30) feet wide on each side of a line beginning
at a point which is north 25 deg. 30 minutes East 476 feet from the inter-
section of the center lines of Mechanic and Helman Streets in the City of
Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, as per the official Map of said City ap-
proved November, 1888; thence South 63 degrees 45 minutes East Three Hun-
dred Lighty-eight (388) feet to the center-line of Neater Street in said
city. The same being a part of Oberlin Street in said City.
A strip of land Xhirty (30) feet wide on each side of a line beginning
at a point which is situate Borth 25 degrees 30 minutes East f+°our hundred
Seventy-six (476) feet and Forth 63 degrees 45 minutes 5';fest 10hirteen Hun-
dred Forty-nine and twenty-hundredths (1349.20) feet from the intersection
of the center lines of mechanic and Hel man Streets in the City of Ashland,

to the Southerly side-line of the 0. & C. H. E. Co.'s right of way, the
same being South Willow Street.
A strip of land Twenty (20) feet wide on each side of a line beginning
at a point situate 355.20 feet South and 899 feet east of the PortbPest
corner of Donation Land Claim No. 40 in Township 39 South of Mange One
East of the T. M. Oregon; thence North Three (3) minutes~Eas- Six Hundred
sixteen (616) feet to the center-line of orange Avenue in said City; the
same being North Willow Street.
A strip of land shirty (30) feet wide on each side of a line beginning
at the intersection of the center lines of Gelman and Ohio Streets in the
City of Ashland, Oregon, which said point is 821 feet North 25 degrees
30 minutes Last from the intersection of the center lines of Mechanic
and Helman Streets in said City of Ashland, Oregon (Map of 1888); thence

feet, the same being Ohio Street in said City, from Helma.n Street to the

ping at a point situate 1161 feet Forth 25 degrees 30 minutes-Last of the

of a line beginning at a point which is situate North 63 degrees 45 minutes
west 306.25 feet from a point which is located 1044.18feet north and

one east of the Willamette Iveridian, Oregon; thence South 25 degrees 30 min-

feet to the northerly side line of Mechanic Street, in said City of Ashland.
Reservin.,7 from the foregoing conveyance of parcels of land for Streets.
and Alley, the right-of-way, across and over any and all of the herein-
before described lands, for water or irrigation ditches together with
the right to run water therein at any and all times which are now construct-
ed, whether said ditches be owned by the grantors herein or others, also
the right to pipe to tile water from said ditch or ditches across or along
said Streets or Alleys by the legal owners of said water, the same to be
done without expense to the City and in a manner which will not interfere
with the public use of said Streets or Alleys; it is also understood that
no title is intended to be conveyed by the grantors herein over and across
such portions of the 0. & C. R. R. Co.'s Hight-of-way as may be included
in any of the herein described Streets and Alleys.
TO HAVE AND TO MOLD the said described premises unto the said City of
Ashland, for Street and Alley purposes only forever; and in case said des-
cribed tracts or any portion thereof should at any time hereafter cease to
be used for Public purposes, then it shall revert back to the said Rrantors
their heirs and assigns.

hereby certify that the foregoing instrument is a true and complete copy
of that certain deed from Abel D. Helman et ux to the City of Ashland, as
found of record in volume 67 at Pages 251-2-3 of the Deed Records of
said county and State.
