KNO 7 ALL MIEN BY THESE PRESENTS,
That we, A. D. Helman, and S. A. Helman, husband an ?wipe of t'r=a
Comity of Jackenn, and State of Oregon, for and in consideration
of the sum of one dollar, to us in hand paid by the City of Ash-
lard of the County of Jackson, State of Oregon, the receipt where
of is hereby acknowledged, have granted, sold and quit-claimed,
and by these presents do grant, sell and quit-claim unto the said
City of Ashland and to its successors forever the right of way,
over, upon, across and through the following described premises
situate and being in Jackson County, State of Oregon, to wit:
The southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 21, Tp. 39,
S.R.1 E. of ►v.I,i., said right bf way to be 12 feet wide measured
six feet outwardly.from a center line described as follows:
Beginning at a point 87 feet east of the S.W. corner of Section
21, Tp• 392 S.R. 1 E. W.M. thence North 24 degrees 51' West 24
ft. thence North 33 degrees 47' West 60 feet; thence north 13 degrees
48' West 65 feet; thence North 1 degree 8' West 135 ft.; thence
North 0 degrees 21 ' E. 135 feet; thence North 13 degrees 29' West
70 feet; thence North 13 degrees 50' East 60 feet; thence north
45 degrees 29' East 200 feet; thence North 30 degrees 40' East
370 feet; thence North 9 degrees 53' East 350 feet to a point 425
feet east of the Northwest corner of the southwest quarter of the
southwest quarter of said section 21;
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said City for the purpose of
laying thereon and forever maintaining thereon iron or wooden pipes
or flumes or other conduits of water beneath the surface of the
ground, which pipes, flumes or other conduits shall be and form a
part of and to be used by the said city in connection with a hydro-
electric power and light plant and water works constructed, or to
be constructed for the use of said City and its inhabitants.

before me, the undersigned, City Recorder of Ashland, Oregon, and
ex-officio Justice of the Peace in and for said City of Ashland,
personally appeared the above named A. D. Helman and S. A. Helman,
well known to me to be the identical persons., who executed the fore-
going conveyance and who acknowledged to me that they executed tI.,.e
same freely and voluntarily for the uses and purposes therein ex-
pressed.
