This Indenture Titnesseth,That we,Charles E.
English and Belle. Hill English,husband and wife,J.W.Abbott,
II a widower,and A.D.Helman and S.A.Helman,husband and wife,of

the County of Jackson and State of Oregon,for and in conside-
j ration of the sum of ONE DOLLAR and other valuable considerat-
I ions,to us paid,have bargained and sold and quit-claimed and

by these presents do grant,bargain,sell and quit-claim unto
the City of Ashland,Jackson County,Oregon,for the use of the
public for cA reet and public road purposes only the following
described premises situate in the City of Ashland,Jackson
11 County,~'regon,to-wit : -

A strip of land being Forty (40) feet wide and

lying Twenty (20) feet on each side of the following described
line:- Beginning at a point Two Hundred Eighty-seven and five-
tenths feet (287.5) West of the Northeast corner of Donation
land Claim Forty (40) in . I owr,ship 39 South of Range One East
of the Willamette %:eridian,0regon; thence north no degrees 30
minutes Pest Six Hundred Fourteen (614) feet to the :;oath side-
line of Nevada Street in the City of Ashland, Oregon; to be
used for street purposes only in connection with the following
described tract of land.
A strip of land Forty (40) feet wide and lying

Twenty (20) feet or. each side of a line described as follows:-
Beginning at a point two Hundred Eighty-seven and five-tenths

(287,5) feet Test of the Yortheast corner of Donation Land
Claim Eo.Forty (40),Township 39 South of Range One East of the
Willamette Leridian,Oregon; thence South 12 degrees 40 minutes
West Cne Hundred linety and tzo-tenths (190.2) feet; thence
South 22 degrees 58 minutes i:ast Three Hundred Eighty-eight and

two-tenths (388.2) feet; thence South 4 degrees 40 minutes
West Four Hundredineteen and one-tenth feet (419.1) to its

intersection witi the center-line of the extension of Helman
Street; to be used with the foregoing tract for street purposes

Reserving from the above conveyance of parcels
of land for Street to connect Helman Street with I`evada Street,
the rights-of-way _.cross and over any of the hereirbefore des-
cribed lards for vtiater or irrigation ditches,together with the
right to run water at any and all times,which are now constructed
whether said ditches be owned by the grantors herein or others;
also reserving the right t.o make and maintain one or more
ditches and to run water therein,across the above described parce s#
the right of way of which has beer, already sold and conveyed
by any 01 the grantors herein.
o Have and to Hold the said described premises

unto the said City of Ashland,for Street purposes OELY forever;
and in case said described tracts or any portion thereof should
at any time hereafter cease to be used for Zublic road purposes,
then it shall revert back to the said grantors,their heirs aryl
