HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-11 j y RESOLUTION A resolution renaming portions of Grandview Drive to Sunnyview Street, Orchard Street and Westwood Street. WHEREAS, Grandview Drive has certain streets which branch off the main portion of Grandview Drive but are also named Grandview Drive, and WHEREAS, this situation causes confusion, and said streets should have separate names, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Ashland: 1. That that certain street hereinafter described, to-wit: Beginning at a point South 0° 30' East 20 feet from the quarter section corner between Sections 5 and 8, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, thence North 89° 54' East 20 feet; thence North 0° 30' West 665 feet; thence South 89° 54' West 40 feet; thence South 0° 30' East 665 feet; thence North 89° 54' East 20 feet to the point of beginning. be, and the same hereby is, named Sunnyview Street. 2. That that certain street hereinafter described, to-wit: Beginning at a point South 0° 30' East 20 feet and South 89° 54' West 20 feet from the quarter section corner between Sections 5 and 8, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon; thence South 89° 54' West 655 feet; thence North 0° 30' West 40 feet; thence North 89° 54' East 655 feet; thence South 0° 30' East 40 feet to the point of beginning. be, and the same hereby is, named Orchard Street. 3. That that certain street hereinafter described, to-wit: Beginning at a point South 0° 30' East 20 feet and South 89° 40' West 220 feet from the quarter corner between Sections 5 and 8, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon; thence South 0° 30' East 740 feet; thence South 89° 40' West 40 feet; thence North 0° 30' West 740 feet; thence North 89° 40' East 40 feet to the point of beginning. -1- be, and the same hereby is, named Westwood Street. The foregoing resolution was duly passed, under a suspension of the rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on the day of November, 1960, the vote being as follows:.
