HomeMy WebLinkAbout2544 Amends AMC 18.72.100ORDINANCE NO. 2544 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO VISION CLEARANCE, ACCESS REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTI-FAMILY DEVELOPMENTS, AND SIGNAGE FOR NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 18.72.100 D.3.b. of the Ashland Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "b. State of Oregon Vision Clearance Standards. The following stopping site distances shall apply to all State Highways within the City with the prescribed speed limits. Vertical stopping sight distance to be based on distance from 3.50' above pavement to a point 6' above the pavement. 30 mph 200 feet 35 mph 225 feet 40 mph 275 feet 45 mph 325 feet 55 mph 450 feet" SECTION 2. A new subsection 5 shall be added to Section 18.72.100 "D" which shall read as follows: "5) Access Requirements for Multi-family Developments. All multi-family developments which will have automobile trip generation in excess of 250 vehicle trips per day shall provide at least two (2) driveway access points to the development. Trip generation shall be determined by the methods established by the Institute of Transportation Engineers." SECTION 3. The first part of the second sentence of Section 18.108.130 of the Ashland Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: "Notice shall be sent by mail, and posted on the subiect property by the applicant at least ten (10) days prior to the initial hearing (except"... etc.) SECTION 4. The following sentence shall be added to the end of subsection B of Section 18.108.130 to read as follows: "Failure by the applicant to post a notice on the property shall be grounds to postpone a hearing or invalidate a decision." The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 21st day of November, 1989, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of December, 1989. City Recorder SIGNED and APPROVED this Catherine Golden Mayor
