ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RULES OF THE COUNCIL
REGARDING THE READING OF RESOLUTIONS.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1544 as amended by
finance No. 1950, and Section 2.04.090 of the Ashland Muni-
cipal Code shall be amended to read as follows:
"2.04.090 Ordinances and Resolutions. Every ordin-
ance shall be enacted in accord with Article X of the
Ashland City Charter. Every resolution shall receive one
(1) reading previous to the vote on its passage, provided
however that it may be read by title alone if a copy of
the resolution is provided for each Council member and
three (3) copies are provided for public inspection in
the Office of the City Recorder not later than three (3)
calendar days before they are to be acted upon, and pro-
vided that the title of the resolution is included in the
Council agenda published in a newspaper printed and
published in the City of Ashland."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 7e z`.e_ day of
1985, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this ,<21-5 day
of - 1985.
