ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ANNEXING A CONTIGUOUS AREA
TO THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE. (ALBERTSON ANNEXATION)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof is contiguous to the City of Ashland and is
located in Jackson County, Oregon, and is hereby annexed to the City
of Ashland as provided in Section 2 of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City
Recorder, in accordance with ORS 222.170, is hereby authorized and
directed to make and submit to the Secretary of the State of Oregon,
a copy of this ordinance, a copy of the Statement of Consent from the
electorate of the tract annexed, and a copy of the ordinance
dispensing with the election on the proposed annexation, and also
upon the effective date hereof, the City Recorder is authorized and
directed to submit a copy of this ordinance to the County Assessor
and County Surveyor of Jackson County, Oregon.
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the ~,wW day of
1988 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this day of 1988.

Commencing at the southwest corner of Section 11 in Township
39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in Jackson County,
Oregon; thence South 39°54' 06" East (record South 89°53' East) along
the south boundary of said Section 11 a distance of 633.64 feet (record
639.14 feet) to the west right of way boundary of Clay Street; thence
along said west right of way boundary North 00°03'32" East (record
North 00°08' West) 1316.70 feet to a point on the south boundary of
that parcel described as Tract A in Volume 377, Page 99 of the Jackson
County Deed Records; thence North 89°54'06" West (record North
89°53' West) along the south boundary of said Tract A a distance of
125.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along
said south boundary North 89°54'06" West 737.61 feet to the southwest,
corner of said described Tract A; thence along the west boundary of
said described Tract A North 00°01'06" West 470.35 feet (record North
470.76 feet) to the northwest corner of said described Tract A;
thence, leaving said described Tract A, North 40.72 feet (record 30.00
feet) to a point on the south boundary of Parcel I as described in
Document No. 79-06122 of the Official Records of Jackson County;
thence South 89° 53 ' 34" East 26.78 feet (record East 17.3 feet) along
the south boundary of said parcel to the southeast corner thereof;
thence North 00°06' 26" East (record North) 30.00 feet to a point on the
south boundary of that tract described in Volume 190, Page 99, said,
Deed Records; thence along the south boundary of said tract South
89°53'34" East (record East) 836.49 feet to the west right of way
boundary of Clay Street; thence South 89°56'28" East (perpendicular
to the west right of way boundary of Clay Street) 60.00 feet to the east
right of way boundary of Clay Street; thence South 00°03'32" West
(record South 00" 08' East) along the east right of way boundary of Clay
Street 176.74 feet; thence North 89°56'28" West 60.00 feet to a 5/8
inch diameter iron pin on the west right of way boundary of Clay
Street; thence North 89° 5235 " West 125.00 feet to a 5/8 inch diameter
iron pin on the east boundary of that parcel described in Volume 516,
