AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER 2.36 WITH RESPECT
TO THE INITIATIVE AND REFERENDUM.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2.36 of the Ashland Municipal Code, as
it relates to Initiative and Referendum, is hereby amended so as to
repeal all of said Chapter, with the exceptions of Sections 2.36.060,
"Signatures--Number Required"; 2.36.080, "Filing Time"; 2.36.090,
"Deposit Required"; 2.36.110, "Election--Notice Required"; 2.36.130,
"State and Municipal Law--Applicability"; and 2.36.140, "Chapter
Effect", and renumbering said Sections, with the first number being
2.36.010 and consecutively.
The foregoing Ordinance was first read at a regular meeting
of the Common Council held on the tA- day of c{~ 1988, and
passed to its second reading and duly passed on the _j day of
