ORDINANCE NO . AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CITY
OF ASHLAND BY MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS, PEDESTRIAN AMENITIES AND PURPOSES
RELATED THERETO; AUTHORIZING THE ASSESSMENT OF COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS
AGAINST PROPERTY TO BE BENEFITED THEREBY; AND, PROVIDING THAT WARRANTS
ISSUED FOR THE COST THEREOF BE GENERAL OBLIGATIONS OF THE CITY OF
ASHLAND.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is hereby ordered that the City of Ashland
be improved by the lease, acquisition or purchase of land for sidewalks,
parking lots and the following improvements:
a. For the design and construction of sidewalks.
b. For the repair and replacement of sidewalks.
C. For the design and construction of public restrooms.
d. For the design and construction of public areas with
street furniture, landscaping and other decorations.
e. For the design and construction of municipal parking
lots.
f. For the design and construction of pedestrian amenities.
g. And purposes related to the foregoing.
And that the cost thereof, not to exceed $875,000.00, be
assessed against the property benefited thereby.
SECTION 2. That warrants for the interim financing of the
aforementioned improvement shall bear interest at the prevailing rates,
and shall constitute general obligations on the City of Ashland, and

shall be issued pursuant to and on the terms and conditions set forth
in ORS 287.502 and 287.515 inclusive.
The foregoing ordinance was first read at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Ashland held on the /6e4-day of
1988, and was passed to a second reading and duly adopted
on the day of 1988.
