ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.26.020 OF THE ASHLAND
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO TERMS OF MEMBERS OF THE TRAFFIC
SAFETY COMMISSION.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2.26.020 of the Ashland Municipal Code and Section
2 of Ordinance No. 1918, shall be amended to read as follows:
112.26.020 Term--Vacancies. The term of the voting members
shall be for three (3) years, expiring on April 30 of each
year. Any vacancy shall be filled by appointment by the
Mayor with confirmation by the City Council for the
unexFired portion of the term. Any Commissioner who is
absent from four or more meetings in a calendar year shall
be considered no longer active and the position vacant. The
present members of the Commission shall draw lots so that
two terms expire on April 30, 1990, two on April 30, 1991,
and two on April 30, 1992."
The foregoing Ordinance was first read on the 4 th day of 11 1989
and duly PASSED and ADOPTED thisD day of , 1989.
