AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW SECTION 10.68.400 TO THE ASHLAND
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO VEHICULAR ACCESS TO CALLE
GUANAJUATO.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A new Section 10.68.400 is hereby added to Chapter 10.68,
Public Parks, and shall read as follows:
1110.68.400 Vehicle'Access to Calle Guanajuato.
A. Access by vehicles to Calle Guanajuato, that area
located between Winburn Way and North Main Street, is
prohibited between the hours of 11:30 A.M. and 10:00 P.M.,
from May 1 through October 31.
B. The Director of Parks and Recreation may issue permits
for access during the hours of closure, only for the
personal vehicles of property owners or lessees that have
parking spaces on private land accessed through Calle
Guanajuato.
C. When not otherwise prohibited, parking in Calle
Guanajuato shall be limited to loading and unloading only,
and for a period not to exceed 5 minutes.
D. Any vehicle parked in violation of this Section shall be
subject to the penalty contained in Section 10.68.350, and
as well, is subject to impoundment according to the
previsions of Chapter 11.36 of the Ashland Municipal Code."
SECTION 2. There being an immediate danger to the public health,
safety, and general welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by
the City Council and approved by the Mayor.
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the 20th day of June, 1989,
and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1989.
