Co:nmunica.tion from D. A. Peterson and V.D.T~mller asking that the council consider
them first in the operation of all concessions at the ~~irport Field, ~=gas. read. ~~Toved
by ~denner seconded by Tayler that the application be placed on file for future reference. Carried.
Br. Blake reco~~mended the installation of a steel tank at the water intake. It was
moved by Tayler seconded by Claycamb that the eater Committee be authorized to have plans
~r and specifications prepared for the tank and that they call for bids, sub sect to the
approval of the council. Carried.

Councilman Hersey reported that the committee had inspected the rTeil Building and
found no structural ,,=reakness or dangerous condition. i.7oved by Tyler seconded by Blake
that the report be accepted. Carried. ~
The Chief of Police reported that he had inspected the Sr.ith C~~icken ranch and found
no whitewashing* and very little ~~~ork done since last su~~unner. :Moved by Bergner seconded
by ','~enner that the matter be referred to the unitary Committee with instructions to
instruct the City attorney to prepare the necessary papers to declare the`place'a nu- 3 s.~nce in cage des. amith does not clean up at once. Carried.
`T'he request of H.C.Stock for permission to fence in and use part of the street in
the rear of ~~To. 333 Laurel Street Uaas referred to the Street Co~~mittee with power to act under instructions from the City l~ttorney.
~~.'he 1~~~ayir reported on the progress of the ti~rork at the airport. ~~e stated that the
goeernment men would be in rtshland tale latter part of ~~arch to inspect the field, and
requested authority to have some tiling laid. It ~~.s moved by Claycomb seeanded by.Blake
that the ';ayor be authorized to proceed ~arith the laying of the tile. Carried.
A netiFr option from Ile ~;`;yers ~R~as read. k~oved by Bergner seconded by Blake that the
T~~ayor be granted authority to close the option if he sees fit to do so. ~'he vote was as
~.x follows : ayes Bergner, Blake, Claycomb, Tayler; nays Mersey, ~denner. Carried. S
The ~.~ayor stated that D. Perozzi had made the City an offer to give the granite to
put a top on the Fark road, p~odide~~~ the City moves the material. after so~~e discussion
the ~.ayor instruc red the Street Committee to investigate as to the cast of paving or other~Rrise improving the Park road. `Whey ~~~ere instructed to
present their recommendations
at the ~~ext meeting of the council.
