Absent, ~~ayor Thornton; Councilmen Claycomb, Hersey, Tayler;Pr~sent Bergner, Blake, ~~enner. 4 P~~Iotion was made~and seconded that the council adjourn to meet at the calf of the rd~ayor. Carried. Present Mayor Thornton; Councilmen Bergner, Blake, Claycomb, Hersey, '1'ayler, ~`~enner; absent none. ~ ~~inu~es of the meetings of June 3rd and 17th were read and approved as corrected. Reports of the Librarian, Chiei: o~~~oli~e, dater Supt., Sexton of Cemeteries, Supt. of the Electric Dept. and Street Commissioner for the month of May, 193Q, were read andon motion accepted and ordered placed on file. s` Bills O.K'd by the Finance Committee, amounting to X6,776.71, were read in total amount only. ~~Iotion was made and seconded that said bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn in paynent thereof. The vote was as follows; Ayes Bergner, Blake, Claycomb, Hersey, Tayler, ~`denner; nays none. Carried. Applications of C. V. Cary and J. King,for appointment to the position of - Firemen, were read. The ~u~a.yor appointed ~e~r. J. '~d. King to fill the vacancy in the Fire Dept. P~~~7oved by Blake seconded by Claycomb that the appointment be confirmed. Carried unanimously. The council next proceeded to consider a comrlunication from Zew H. Hansen asking that the council grant him the free:_use of lithia and sulphur water for operat~ ing three baths for the term of two years, and asking that a committee be appointed to meet with him and work out a detailed report of his proposition. The T~iayor stated that he would appoint a committee to look into this matter.
