Upon motion by 4~~~enner, seconded by Taylor, applications t`roj~~~ the following to sell Non-
Intoxicating :beverages were granted:
No. 22 Paul I~. Taylor ~~shland Creamery i~lholesaler
Tuo. 23 E. T. Allen Ashland Hotel Dispenser
No. 24 Loomis ~ Tdelson 215 Fourth Street Dispenser No. 25 Loomis ~ Nelson 215 Fourth Street Retailer
Bids to furnis~r the City of Ashland with gasoline for' a period of one ye~.r were received
from the following:
The Standard Oil Company
The Union Gil Company
The Shell Oil Company
As all bids were at the same price, :3ergner moved that these bids be referred to the Light Cor~rnittee with power to act. Seconded by ~~enner.
Carried.
On motion, the council adjourned to meet at the call of the l~~ayor.

The purpose of the meeting was to consider a re uest from the Chamber of Commerce for
funds for the production of a travelogue by means of~mation pictures to be produces on the
screen in every part of the United States and the ~~~~orld's Fair at Chicago advertising this
sectian of Oregon. Paul I~icDonald, Tom Simpson, president; and Tom Cunning, Secretary of
the Chamber of Commerce spoke in favor of the project. The proposition teas discusses thorough-
ly, but no action ta~en on account o' the amount oi' funds re~luired.
The subject of meeting witrl tree Highway Commission, and having the State widen tree High-
s way from the north limits of tree City to Coolidge Street was discusUed. T~oved by ~~denner
that Mr. Green and fir. McClure, City Attarney attend the meeting of the Commission at Eugene
and Salem and try and have this work of widening the street done by the State. Seconded by
Gregg, carried.

The minutes o~' the last meetings, April 18 and 21st were approved.

Reports of the Recorder and auditing committee were read and accepted s.nd ordered
placed on file.
Bills amounting to X2788.81, 4hTed by the i'inance committee were read as to total amount
anly and ordered paid. On motion by v~enner, the bill for X65.00 as an additional months salary to '~1m. iyi. 3rigg~s as City Attorney was referred
to tree City Attorney 1`0~~ recommendation.
The bill for 582.3 frorfl file ~-+ater Department ag~~inst the Sewer l~'und for the 1932 operwtion
of sewer and septic tani~s was upon motion by `~~Tenner ordered tram;°~'erred from the Sever Fund
as far as the balance on hand would permit ~~nd the rer~ainder aU it came in from taxes.
Moved by Bergner that the X50.00 donation to the Chamber of Commerce be transferred from
the Light Fund to the Publicity and Chautauqua Fund as a Loan. Carried.
The application of 0. H. Rose to have the records changed to show that there was no
street in rear of nis residence on Hillcrest was on notion by '~7enner°efez~red to the City
Attorney and City Engineer or recommendations.
