Carpenter, chairman of the F.E.R.A. for Jaehson County spoke regarding the workings of this organization, ans~rer- ing questions, ana outlining the proceedure in obtaining funds for this work. He pointed out that federal fun~.s would not ~e available ~"or ~~aterial ar any purely municipal functions and that the City would have to past she Mate Industrial a~ceident Insurance covering all the workers. . There being no further uusiriess to corrle before it, the council adjourned to meet at the call of the ~~ayor. Perry Bentley spoke regarding the lettering; on the recorder's Office and showed samples of letters. The question of raise in pay for two risen with the Street Department and one with the ~l Light Department was brought up. 1"~oved by Treg that the three men be paid 40¢ per hour instead of 35¢x, effective ipril 1st.
