What prior work experience have you had that would help you if you were appointed to

Listening objectively and communicating well are invaluable skills that contribute
to my success as a news reporter and editor.These skills have been crucial to m~
freelance work; as a School Board Chair, active community member and life.
Do you feel it would be advantageous for you o have further trainin in thi$ field, such
as attending conferences or seminars? Why? es. Any Knowledge ta►ned
will always be an advantage to myself and others on the Commission.

13. Interests Was saddened by apparent lack of

interest in historic buildings as hometown grew. Ashland is the opposite. As a
Commission member, would have a mindful role in melding history with growth.

meetings? Do you prefer day or evening meetings? Avails le f6r majority of
special meetings and for all regularly scheduled. Prefer evenings.

Have had experience making decisions as a group. No problem accepting
majority's decision if differs from mine. Am willing and able to listen to all views
and opinions. Will have all possible information, including ordinances and
recommendations from city employees and commissions before making
any decisions. Believe the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked!
Am interested in all things historic; cemeteries, relics and stories.
Would like to be an active Commission member outside of meetings, including
National Historic Preservation Week.
