Dear City Recorder and Review Committee,
Please accept my application for review and consideration for appointment
to the Recreation Division Advisory Committee with the City of Ashland. I
have chosen to pursue application for this position because of my love for
Ashland and I have enjoyed living in this community since moving here in
early 2007. During this time, I have been working as special education
teacher for Ashland Public Schools and I served as adjunct instructor at
Southern Oregon University. I have been practicing and teaching yoga for
over 10 years, and I feel that both my personal and professional life are
ready for a deeper exploration of how I can better serve in my community.
By this, I intend to grow and deepen my connection to our community by
helping create new, diverse, and sustainable programs. Please see my
attached application, resume, and contact me with any questions you
might have. Wishing the search committee the best of luck with your
application process.
Warm regards,
Rebecca Bjornson
