HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-26 Canvass of the VoteRESOLUTION NO. ~' "/ A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CANVASS OF THE VOTE AT THE ELECTION HELD IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON ON MAY 15, 1990. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ashland met on the ~ ~¥~ of June, 1990 at the Civic Center of said City and proceeded to canvass the vote cast at the Election held in and Jot said City of Ashland on the 15th day of May, 1990, and WHEREAS, the said Council has canvassed the said vote and has determined the number of votes for the measures as follows: MEASURE 15-1 New Tax Base Yes No MEASURE 15-2 5-year swimming pool and Yes recreation facility maintenance levy. No MEASURE 15-6 Open Space Park Program Yes Charter Amendment No Measure 15-7 Advisory Open Space Yes Program Funding No 2632 1885 2618 1957 2449 2193 2243 2451 NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Ashland as follows: Section 1. Measure 15-1, which provided for a new tax base, is hereby declared to have passed. Section 2. Measure 15-2, which provided for a five-year swimming pool and recreation facility maintenance levy, is hereby declared to have passed. ~ SecUion 3. Measure 15-6, which provided for an open space park program charter amendment, is hereby declared to have passed. Section 4. Measure 15-7, which provided an advisory on open space program funding, is hereby declared to have failed. The foregoing Resolution was read and adopted at a regular meeting of the City of Ashland Council on the ~_5--m~/J day of 1990. Golden, Mayor of the City of Ashland, Oregon, do proclaim that at the election held in the City of Ashland, Oregon on the 15th day of May, 1990, there was submitted to the voters 4 measures and that the measures relating to a new tax base, a 5-year swimming pool and recreation facility maintenance levy, and an open space park program charter amendment did all pass; however, the advisory vote on open space program funding did not pass.
