AGREEMENT RE: Sewer connects for Shaw and Vandervalle City Administrator Almquist presented an agreement that had already been signed by Dan Shaw and Myrtle M. Shaw, and Raymond E. Vandervalle and M. W. Vandervalle in which they agree that Sbaws will pay to the City the sum of $2,700.00, and Vandervalles will pay $2,720.00 to the City for connecting their residences to the sewer. Shaws and Vandervalles further agreed to pay additional fees to the City if there is a need for additional sewage disposal facilities for their land. Conklin moved to authorize the Mayor and Recorder to sign the agree- ment; Soderberg seconded. Motion passed unanimously on roll call vote. ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #957 Almquist read the title of "An Ordinance Amending and Provided for Licensing Fees and Declaring an Emergency". Councilwoman Soderberg moved that the ordinance by adopted; Conklin seconded. Willstatter expressed concern over licensing adult book stores and/or movie houses, and felt doing so was giving tacit acquiescence, and preferred a change in our zoning laws to control such establishments. There was some discussion of probable zoning requirements, with a primary thought to keeping adult establish- ments away from the schools. City Attorney Salter pointed out that the proposed amendment requiring a license fee was for the purpose of reimbursing the City a part of the expense of regulating adult book and movie houses. On roll call vote on Mrs. Soderbe g motion, McCannon, Roberts, Roble, Soderberg, and Conklin voted YES, Willstatter NO. There being no further business on the agenda, Conklin moved to adjourn; McCannon seconded. On voice vote, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m. to a study session on revenue sharing. Respectfully submitted, City Recorder
