A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE NAME OF OLD MASONIC WALKWAY
TO BE APPLIED TO THE PUBLIC WALKWAY
AT 25 N. MAIN STREET
Recitals:
A. The public walkway through the building at 25 North Main Street between
North Main Street and Calle Guanajuato should be officially named to facilitate
proper identification of the walkway and to provide a means whereby abutting
shops might be addressed. The council determines that it is in the best interest
of the city to officially designate this way as Old Masonic Walkway.
B. The change meets the requirements of § 13.24.010 which permits the
council to name a street or public right of way. The Masonic Lodge through
which this walk passes is an Ashland historical landmark.
THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Ashland Municipal Code § 13.24,010 the public walkway
between N. Main Street and Calle Guanajuato is named Old Masonic Walkway.
This resolution was read by title only in accordanc with Ashland Munic' al Code
