A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CANVASS OF THE VOTE OF THE
ELECTION HELD IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON, ON
MAY 16, 2000.
RECITALS:
The City Council of the City of Ashland met on the 20th day of June, 2000, at the
City of Ashland's Civic Center and proceeded to canvass the vote cast at the
election held in and for the City of Ashland on the 16th day of May, 2000.
The Council has canvassed the vote and has determined the number of votes for
the measures as follows:
15-7 Ashland Youth Activities Three-Year Yes 4,262
Operating Local Option Tax No 2,609
THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Measure 15-7, which posed the following question is declared to have
passed: "Shall City impose $1.38 per $1,000 of assessed value for youth activities
beginning 2000-20017 This tax rate would be imposed for three years. This measure
may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent."
This resolution was read by title only in accordance with Ashland Municipal Code
§2.04..090 duly PASSED and ADOPTED this ~ day of June, 2000.
