HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965 Adopting Budget 1978-79O IMA CE AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 1978, TO AND INCLUDING JUNE 30, 1979, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby adopts the Budget as approved by the Budget Committee of the City of Ashland on April 13, 1978, now on file in the office of the City Recorder. SECTION 2. That the amounts for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1978, and for the purposes indicated are hereby appropriated as published in The Daily Tidings on April 28, 1978, and reflected in the Budget document which is hereby incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance by reference: That the gross Budget requirements for the 1978-79 fiscal year total $11,753,614. SECTION 3. That the City Recorder is hereby directed to file, not later than the 15th day of July, 1978, with the County Assessor of Jackson County, Oregon, the budget approved by this Ordinance. SECTION 4. That inasmuch as it is deemed necessary to adopt the Budget and make appropriations immediately, it is deemed necessary for the public health and safety of the citizens of the City of Ashland that an emergency be, and the same hereby is declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. 1978 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this ~T~ day of ~'~/E , · City Recorder SIGNED and APPROVED this day of ~__~ , 1978.
