AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY IN THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON.
WHEREAS, Noticeof th~ Public Hearing and proposed
vacation Of the subject alley has been given in accord with the
provisions of Chapter 271 of the'Oregon Revised StatUtes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION1. It is determined that the public interest
will be best served by the vacation of the alley located in the
City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon End more particularly
described as follows:

Commencing at a found 1 inch square iron bar. situated ~t the accepted-Northeast-
corner of Government Lot No. 4, Section 5T Townshi ~:39 Southj~ange ~ East'of
the Willamette Base and Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon~ thence South 00°04'43''
West alon9 the Westerly boundary line of Donation Land Claim No. 40, said
Township and Range, 337.40 feet to a found 1 inch square iron bar situated at-
the centerline of a 16 foot w~de alley, bea'ring Westerly, as per the Official
Survey of the City of Ashland, accepted and adopted'by the City Council of the
City of Ashland, Oregon on the 5th day of November, 1888 and filed for record
on the 26th day of March 1892 in Volume 1 of Plats, page 81 of the records of
Jackson County, Oregon; thence leaving said Westerly boundary line of Donation
Land Claim No. 40, South 89°55'44" West along the centerline of said alley,
375.01 feet to the point of beginning; thence along the arc of a 45.00 foot
radius curve to the left, the radial bearings "in and out" are North 89°55'44"
East and South 79~41'19'' West (central angle is lO degrees 14 m~nutes and 25
seconds) 8.04 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin situated in the Southerly right of
way line of sa~d ]6 foot wide alley; thence South 89°55'44" West along said alley
right of way, 181,30 feet to a point which bears Easterly and 13.5 feet, when
measured at right angles therefrom, the Westerly boundary line of Governlnent
tot No. 4, said Township and RanSe; thence North 00°27'54'' West and parallel
to said 9overnment lot line, 16.DO feet to a point in the Northerly right of
way of said alley; thence North 89°55'44'' East along said. Northerly right of
way, 181L41 feet to a point in the Westerly right of way of a proposed 45.00
foot radius cul-de-sac; thence along the arc of a 45.00 foot radius curve to
the left, the radial bearings "in and out":are 5outh 79°49'51'' East and
South 89°55'44'' W~st (central angle is lO degrees 14 minutes and 25 seconds)
.8.04 feet to the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom a perpetual easement for the installation
and maintenance of present and future public utilities over the
above described parcel.
SECTION 1. For the foregoing reasons the al.ley located on
land'aescribed above in the preceeding Section is hereby vacated.
