AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY IN THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON.
WHEREAS, Notice of the Public Hearing and proposed vacation
of the subject alley has been given in accord with the provisions
of Chapter 271 of the Oregon Revised Statutes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is determined that the public interest will be
best served by the vacation of the alley located in the City of
Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon,and more particularly described
as follows:
=~ A portion of that alley deeded to the City of Ashland by
!T.J. Howell and recorded in Volume 56, Page 1S0 Jackson County
Deed Record, described as follows:
~8 Commencing at the intersection of the Southerly line of East
Main Street (formerly known as Main Street) with the Westerly
line of South Pioneer Street (formerly known as First Avenue
~~ and as Hargadine Avenue) in the City of Ashland, Jackson County,
Oregon; thence South 35°02' West, along the ~esterly line of
said South Pioneer Street, 100.0 feet to the North line of that
~ alley as described in Volume 56, Page 1S0 of Jackson County
Deed Records, for the True Point of Beginning; thence North
56~19'00'' West (record North 56° West) along said North line,
86.00 feet; thence South 35°02'00'' West 10.00 feet; thence
South 56~19'00'' East, 86.00 feet; thence North 35~02'00''
East 10.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
RESERVING therefrom, a perpetual easement for the installation
and maintenance of present and future public utilities over the
above described parcel.
SECTION 2.
