AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND AMENDING
ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 6,28.080 AND
6.28.150, WHICH PROVIDES FOR AN EXCLUSIVE
FRANCHISE FOR THE OPERATION OF TAXICABS WITHIN
THE CITY.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1746 and Section 6.28.080
of the Ashland Municipal Code are hereby amended to read
as follows:
"6.28.080- Franchise Fee. As a franchise fee, the grantee
shall pay to the City of Ashland the sum of one percent (1%)
of all gross income per year of the operation of the taxi
business in the City of Ashland, which fee shall be paid
annually no later than thirty [30) days following the anni-
versary date of the acceptance of this franchise,
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1746 and Section 6.28.150 of
the Ashland Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as
follows:
"6.28.150 Violations-Penalty, Any person, firm or corp-
oration which violates any provision of this Chapter, or
not being the grantee, operates a taxicab service from points
originating within the City shall be deemed guilty of a
separate offense on each and every day or portion thereof
during which any violation of any of the provisions of this
title is committed, continued or permitted, and upon convic-
tion of any such violation such person shall be punished as
prescribed in Section 1.08.0Z0 of this Code."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the ~ day

ACCEPTANCE OF TAXICAB FRANCHISE
The Taxicab Franchise of the City of Ashland as
set forth in Ashland Ordinance No. 1746 and as amended
by Ashland Ordinance Number/~/~ is hereby accepted and
set forth in said Ordinances
all the terms and conditions
are hereby accepted.
