PERMANENT PEDESTRIAN EASEMENT FOR CITY OF ASHLAND
1. Grant of Easement. The above named Grantor grants to the City of Ashland, Oregon,
"Grantee," a perpetual non-exclusive easement in gross to construct, reconstruct,
install, use, operate, inspect, repair, maintain and remove and replace a public
pedestrian easement and sidewalk across, along and upon the real property described
below and further referred to in this easement agreement as the "easement area,"
The easement area is located in Jackson County, Oregon, and is described on the
attached Exhibit A.
2. Use of Surface. Grantor shall have the right to use the easement area for all
purposes not inconsistent with the uses and purposes of the property, provided that
Grantor shall not build or erect any structure upon the easement area without the prior
written consent of Grantee.
3. Prior Encumbrances. This easement is granted subject to all prior easements or
encumbrances of record.

EASEMENT FOR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS
Commencing at the point of intersection of the Westerly side line of Granite Street with
the Northerly side line of High Street in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon,
from which the stone monument at the intersection of the centertine of said Granite
Street and High Street, as laid down and designated upon the official map of said City of
Ashland adopted November, 1888, beara South 4° 27' East, 30.35 feet distant; thence
North 36° 45' East, along the Westerly side line of Granite Street, 5.00 feet; thence
North 45° 39' West, parallel to the Northerly side line of High Street, 186 feet more or
less to the Southeasterly boundary of that property described in instrument no. 99-
043876 of the official Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence Westerly along the
said Southeasterly boundary, five feet more or less to the Northerly side line of High
Street; thence South 45° 39' East, along said side line, 18e feet to the point of
beginning.
