HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-28 Public Park in RR LIDRESOLUTION NO. ~-//-~o~ A RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $197,195 FOR ASSESSMENTS FOR A PUBLIC PARK IN THE RAILROAD PARK LOCAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FORMED BY ORDINANCE 2963, TO BE INCLUDED IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 66. RECITAL: The City of Ashland has acquired property now dedicated for a public park known as the Railroad District Park. The total assessment for this park is $197,195. Special benefit assessments should now be levied against property benefitted to defray the expenses. THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The amount of the assessment to be charged against each lot within the local improvement district according to the special and peculiar benefits accruing to each lot for the Railroad Park Local Assessment District formed by Ordinance 2963, assessment district No. 66 is as follows: Name & Address Description Assessment City of Ashland 20 E. Main Street Ashland, OR 97520 Lot 10, Railroad Park Subdivision $197,195.00 SECTION 2. Any owner of property assessed for $100.00 or more may request the payment be extended in the manner and under the provisions of the Bancroft Bonding Act, if the request is made within thirty days after notice of the assessment is received. SECTION 3. All assessments using the Bancroft Bonding Act are required to pay in 20 semi-annual installments together with interest. Interest charged will be the actual bond sale rate plus I 1/2 percent, with a maximum of 9.5 percent. The foregoing resolution was READ BY TITLE ONLY and DULY ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ashland on May 3, 1994.
