Home My WebLink About1994-29 Traffic Signal RESOLUTION NO. ~4-,::~ A RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $112,655.27 OF WHICH $56,284.58 IS PAID BY A GRANT FROM THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE INST~LTATION OF AN AUTOMATIC TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF ASHLAND STREET AND TOI/MAN CREEK ROAD IN LOCAL IMPROVEPESNT DISTRICT NUMBER 66. RECITALS The City of Ashland installed automatic traffic signal in Local Improvement District ~mher 66 during 1992 and 1993 The total assessment for the improvement is $112,655.27 of which $56,284.58 is paid by a grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation. The total assessments in 'this district are reasonable assessments and the assessment charged against each lot is according to the special and peculiar benefits accruing to it from the improvements. These findings are based upon upon evidence presented by Steven M. Hall, P.E., Public Works Director and City Engineer, in his memoranda dated February 27, 1992; February 11, 1992; January 16, 1992 (Revised); December 24, 1991; December 12, 1991; and July 30, 1991 and upon previous'proceedings regarding this district. THE CITY OF AS~ RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The amount of assessment to be charged against each lot within the Local Improvement District are attached to this Resolution and is known as "Exhibit A". This is according to the special and peculiar benefits accruing to each lot for the Tolman Creek Traffic Signal Local Improvement District. SECTION 2. Any owner of property assesssed for $100.00 or more, may r~quest the payment be extended in the manner, and under the provisions of the Bancroft Bonding Act, if the request is made within thirty days after notice of the assessment is received. All assessments Using.~/%.e ~Bancroft Bonding Act are required to pay 20 semi-annual installments including interst. Interest rate charged will be the actual bond sale rate plus 1.5 parcent, with a maximum rate of 12.0 percent. SECTION 3. classification of the assessment.
